Sweat Lodges

The sweat lodge, also known as the 'sweat' is a native sauna where the participants take part in spiritual and cleansing rituals. Traditional sweats are done naked and women and men have separate lodges.

Visitors can arrange to use the community sweat while visiting the village. The community sweat is public and can be used for cleansing or spiritual reasons. The public sweats are conducted co-ed and the participants are clothed. Visitors will need to bring a bathing suit or some type of cover-up.

It takes quite awhile to get the sweats ready so advance notice is required.
